Kruger Lens & Rifle: a free 3D Kruger National Park safari game
Drive a Toyota Hilux through a 1:40 scale model of the real Kruger National Park, built from OpenStreetMap roads, rivers, rest camps, hides and picnic sites and SRTM elevation data. Follow the H- and S-roads from Skukuza to Lower Sabie, Satara, Olifants, Letaba, Mopani, Shingwedzi and Punda Maria. It runs in the browser on desktop: no download, no account.
How to play
- Leave camp when the gate opens and drive the tar and gravel roads looking for game.
- Stop, switch the engine off and use the telephoto camera. Steady, well-framed shots of animals drinking, walking or interacting score the most, especially in golden-hour light.
- Log every new species in the field guide. Photograph 20 native species, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), to complete your safari.
- Take ranger missions: a photo brief for a magazine, culling invasive kangaroos with the rifle, or racing to a poaching incident with the blue lights on.
- Refuel, eat and sleep at rest camps, and be inside a camp before the gate closes.
Features
